The trough
- 'Look at the breaks' is the low point: an amount the provider reports that the platform cannot tie to anything it believes.
- The architecture's answer is that the amount is still on the books — posted to a named break account, aged, owned and alarmed past 48 hours — and never netted away (ADR-07).
Decisions
- A correction is a new opposite-signed transaction under dual control. There is no path by which one authenticated human edits an entry (ADR-02, ADR-14).
- The payout run is gated on the trial balance and the bank comparison, so payouts move proven cash rather than believed cash.
- Nothing in the happy path requires a human. The operator's job is exceptions only.
Assumptions
- 30 provider files a day, up to 10 M lines each; 100% matched or in a break account within 24 h of receipt.
- Unmatched value ≤ 0.01% of daily settled value. Both are stated assumptions and both are review targets.
