Decisions

Impact is answered from the graph at query time, not from a maintained dependency list. A list is wrong the day after it is written.
The change gate is advisory for uncertified assets and blocking for certified ones. Blocking everything gets the gate switched off within a month.
A 90-day deprecation window with a visible catalog banner on every downstream consumer, so nobody learns about a retirement from a failed job.

Additive changes are logged and not notified; alert fatigue destroys this feature faster than any defect.

Depends on

Accurate ownership. An impact notification with no owner to send it to is the failure mode this view assumes away, and view 18 measures.
