Decisions

  • The loop only closes because the gate can refuse and the reconciler can disagree. Without either, a rebuild is a hope with a progress bar.
  • A rebuild is rehearsed on a schedule. A recovery path exercised only during an incident is a claim, not a capability.
  • Reconciliation feeds the next definition: a divergence that keeps recurring in one field is a definition problem, not an operations problem.

Risks

  • A gate with a judgement set nobody maintains becomes a rubber stamp that is harder to argue with than no gate at all.
