Where the boundary falls

  • Messages 5–8 are the only moment the platform waits on a stranger, and the wait is bounded (ADR-03).
  • Signature verification at message 6 is proved by the platform periodically sending a bad one.

Failure branch

  • Messages 12–13: no ack at 3.0 s means an ephemeral failure to the user, and a counted miss for the application.
