# Discord Bot Platform

The half of a Discord-style chat service that third-party bots talk to: a sharded WebSocket Gateway, HTTP interactions with a three-second acknowledgement, a REST API with per-route rate limits, and server-owned installation. Modelled on the public Discord developer documentation; every number is a stated assumption in `ask.md`.

The design rests on one rule: **bots are untrusted consumers on the far side of a one-way boundary, entitlement is enforced before an event is produced, and every promise states what it loses.**
